About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, CCR Global Category Manager Raw Material & Heat Exchangers ($30M+ Spend).

Raw Material covers Steel, Copper and Aluminum.

This leader will be responsible for creating, developing and ensuring application of the commodity strategy on a worldwide basis.

Zodpovědnosti

 

· Partner with local buyers, steering them towards excellence in procurement practices.

· Develop an aligned Category Strategy, integrating product development road map, global market intelligence, supplier evaluation, and cost reduction initiatives.

· Lead cost reduction projects

· Enhance and drive Raw Material blocking process ensuring Raw material availability for factories and Tier II suppliers.

· Coordinate global category activities, ensuring alignment with regional needs and specifications.

· Negotiate global contracts to secure ongoing supply and achieve competitive terms.

· Provide Global Market Intelligence, empowering decision-making across the organization.

· Steer spot buys and ensure business continuity during shortages or unforeseen circumstances.

· Evaluate and manage global suppliers as a strategic partner, driving efficiency and innovation.

· Champion cost-saving initiatives and share best practices globally to CCR competitiveness.

· Report category status and achievements to Management

Kvalifikace

 

 

· BA/BS business or engineering degree with 7+ years’ experience (HVAC preferred)

· MA/MS degree with 5+ years’ experience

· 7+ years’ experience in Procurement/Supply Chain leadership; experience and knowledge of Steel, Copper and Aluminum market and players is a plus.

· Proven ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and results.

· Ability to excel in a dynamic environment.

· Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

· Demonstrated thought leadership with ability to lead analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables.

· Ability to travel domestic and internationally as required.
