Own designated indirect materials & services for the site—including production equipment, spare parts, facility management, maintenance, and other non-product categories. You’ll be part of the Site Sourcing Team and report (directly and functionally) to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager. The role spans process improvement, reporting, and strong supplier/stakeholder relationship management.
Negotiate commercial terms (price, lead time, delivery/Incoterms) and finalize contracts with suppliers.
Adhere to sourcing guidelines, policies, and SOPs; escalate deviations to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager.
Lead new-supplier introduction: commercial assessment, market intelligence, due diligence, financial checks, and coordination with Quality for initial assessments.
Track and report spend, savings, and performance against targets.
Provide commercial guidance and manage sourcing projects with a long-term, strategic view of spend.
Partner closely with Maintenance, Facilities, Plant Management, and Global Indirect Teams on requests for indirect materials/services.
Develop and manage the supplier base: market research, benchmarking, and continuous improvement programs.
Co-create commodity strategies with the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager and Category Managers.
Lead contract negotiations and evaluate ongoing contract performance.
Monitor supply risk and execute mitigation plans (dual sourcing, SLAs, buffers).
Set supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, sustainability) and drive performance improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field.
3–7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a buyer, ideally focused on Indirect categories, with a record of delivered projects and savings.
Proficient in MS 365 (strong Excel).
Fluent in Czech and English.
Driving license (preferred).
